I do apologize for the picture quality not my best, but I did a hollow turning of padauk and maple with a padauk and maple finial. All pieces were glued together then turned and if you havent turned padauk or even sanded the wood before make sure you have your dust extraction turnedon . The piece is 3 1/2” tall and 6 1/2” wide and the finial stands 6 1/4 on its own. Finish is just a coat of BLOso far, its been a while since my last post so take it easy on me just kidding good or bad please comment, that is how we get better.
Thank you for looking

Beautiful, I love the finial. Padauk is my favorite, but it will make your shop look like a Cheeto factory exploded.

Very appealing form! I favor that finial and the flat top. Was the base turned as a bowl and then a top glued on? Thanks for sharing it with us.

Wonderful turning piece! Like the finial, shapes and the wood combo. Superb work!
