4” wide head, 9.5” long handle, 4.5” wide strike thing. Not much else to say. I made one of these about 27 years ago in middle school shop class. I had to make a jam chuck for this one. I know I didn’t do it that way in school but I can’t remember how both faces of the head were finished back then.

Well, you did a beautiful job on this.

Last time I actually saw one of these, a judge was slamming it down…........on me. LOL

Great job for a great cause.

You could just turn it between centers. Bring both ends down to about a 1/4 then part it off and sand,sand,sand to get the smooth faces.

How did you attach the handle? On mine I used a blind wedge.

Keep it up.

Great looking gavel! Like the walnut’s beautiful grains and the finish made them pop. Great job!
