Burrl Fish Carving

An old friend gave me this cherry burrl. He was a fish carver in years past and thought I could do something with it. I thought a Rainbow Trout would be appropriate. This is my first attempt at a fish and painting is not one of my best skills. Well,here it is anyway.

Looks great, and I think the painting looks good too. Good use of the natural shape and grain of the burl.
