Here is my entry for the 2013 Callmakers and Collectors Association of America’s National Fancy Call Contest.
Goose flute, 796 glued segments. Ebony, bloodwood, canarywood, black walnut, big leaf maple burl, with english walnut accents. It also has a hand made black walnut tone board with a white delrin gut-sert. Took me three months to build this project and it was mighty scary when I spun it up on the lathe the first time. It also took 2/3 of a bottle of ProBond wood glue….
The judging in the weekend of April 26th, I’m entering in the professional division so we will see what the other guys come up with. The only way to win is to go all out, so I feel good about this entry…
All The Best!
