You can use a commercial honing jig such as the Veritas MKII honing guide and its skew registration jig (http://www.leevalley.com/en/wood/page.aspx?p=53974&cat=1,43072,43078) to sharpen a skew blade. Or make your own sharpening jig following the instructions offered by Chris Schwarz here:
