I built my wife a dining room suite. I should have since I sold our “sto-baught” dining room furniture at a yard sale. Oooo! Another “You Might Be a Lumberjock”.. if you ever sold your wife’s furniture so you could make her some yourself.

This set is made with White Pine and finished with a “pickled effect”. I wanted to see all of those knots! I used a gallon can of satin poly with a half pint of white oil based paint mixed in. I know some of you went “WHAT!!”. Well, I did. You just have to give it a couple of coats and make sure you stir the mixture often. It’s lasts nicely.

The table has “pistol drawers” on each side of the long side for storage of her what-nots needed for Christmas dinner.

Beautiful job! I’ve tried your “manufactured” finish. It works great.

Great job. What are you selling next?

What a great feeling of satisfaction you must have when friends and family come over, and you get to show off your talent!! We have a “sto-baught” solid oak dinner table. It’s probably an antique now it’s so old. Maybe one day I will build one. Is that a Ma-roww I see in the lower left hand pic?

Beautiful job, I would never have thought to do that with the paint and poly. It looks wonderful, nice job.
