In the Abstract Fusion Marquetry series, again recycling the left over veneers, I worked with “stripes to create movement.
With abstract careful attention to the overall composition and to the very details are is required

That’s very interesting. I think it would benefit from a different background wall, but the color values all blend nicely and attract attention. I could see hanging that; it’s quite pretty.

Thank you for your nice critics.

The dyed veneer always attract the eyes, I agree. I think it is because it is more alive than paint or other pigments, there is that chatoyance, iridescence, that you can not get with other material.

i am going to work very soon, I hope if I am not to lazy, on dying more veneers and will try to remember to take pictures of the steps for a future post.
