Here are a few items I have made from this amazing wood. Amboyna burl is a pleasure to turn and each piece has a little different look. Every once in a while you run across a piece that is extra special, and that was what happened with this bangle. Wow! I wished I would have kept this bangle as it was a one of a kind!

Happy Turning,
Eric

You are so correct Eric, every so often that super special piece appears, and this one is absolutely stunning.

Thanks for showing.

Lovely wood indeed.
Dale, Amboyna is the burl of the padauk tree and is rare and, as you can see, really beautiful.
Eric, where do you get the bangle kits from?

BrianGT – Eric isn’t “The Bangle Guy” for nothin’! He makes the bangle kits himself and sells them. Ive made about a dozen of his kits. Check out his website.

Everything is there you would need to make these yourself (instructions, materials, and supplies). Best of luck!!

Beautiful and highly figured Amboyna burl. Amazing how such beauty comes from the deformed portion of a tree.
Burl is very tough if not impossible to bend but I imagine it turns well. Very nice projects.
