My son was begging to make a house for our cats and I managed talked him into building this cat tree instead. We used scrap lumber from building our deck and the carpet came from a remnant that grandma had. He did most of the cutting with a jig saw and drilled all the holes for the screws and ran most of them in. It turned out to be a little larger then we had planned but the cats like it.

That’s all that matters, the cats like it. The father/son time while building it was a Big Plus!!!

it can never be too big for a cat. I built one for my cats, (I have 3) and it’s over 5 ft tall and they love to climb all over it. very nice job.

Cool! My cat condo and “environs” got roughed in and “test-parked” on the porch months ago, never got the covering and they STILL love it! Go figure…. cats. Gotta remember to take a pic to post just for yuks…. :> SWMBO said SHE would do the carpet cover, so you gotta understand we are perfectly matched procrastinators!!

Have your say...
