My little guys wanted to make gardens so i built them some cedar planters for the back deck. Just a quick 2.5 hr project done in 1 evening. I kinda liked the “instant” gratification aspect of a 1 night build.

Built from cedar fence pickets and 2 – 2×4 ripped down to make the top and bottom rails.
Stainless screws and Tightbond III.
At last minute decided to cut arc’s in the bottom rails… Kinda sloppy but hey the kids wont notice.
No sanding!! (took a lot of restraint especially on the bottom rails)

For kicks I ran 1 of the top rails on each box through the carvewright CNC.

Turned out just fine for a quick job. Boys love them and they are already filled with potting mix and tomato plants.

Now lets hope we get our money back in produce.

Very nice and fun project. Like the name carvings, added a personalized touch to them. Lucky kids!
