I am building a kitchen island for a nice lady. This is it sanded & ready for paint & stain. I had some trouble with the top but I figured it finally. Will post finished pictures in a couple of days. 2’ X 3’ X 36”T.
The one picture shows part of the buffet top that I am making also 5’ X 2’ I figured out that tongue & grove will help prevent it from buckling. There is probably a lot of you saying duh, but hey I am learning every day. I even figured out how to make my own tongue & grove jig with my make shift router table. Hey when you don’t have a lot, you make do with what you can lol. Some pics of the tongue & grove process. Enjoy :)
4-11-2013 Update, got the stain on the top’s & the island base painted, what a chore that was. I hate painting wood lol. Now I have to put some clear coat on it & hardware.
4-14-13 The buffet top & the kitchen island are now complete, yea! All I have left is the leg’s for the dinning room table.
