Dumpster Dive...

Was driving along one day and seen a chair back sticking out of a dumpster that was being used to clean out an old house. Checked it out and was looking for a practice piece at the time so I grabbed it…

The other three were all busted up…but after stripping the first I decided to return and try and salvage two to make one…

I was going to try and find some free upholstery, but after seeing the upholstery at the store, I knew it would be a perfect fit…total cost…$9.00…

I think I’m going to sell them just so I can say I sold garbage…lol.

One man’s junk is another man’s treasure. I made that up myself. It’s a DouginVa original. Well, I thought so anyway. Dumpster diving is where our woodworking skills really pay off. I have several pieces in my house that have been restored and I’m not ashamed to put them out as regular furniture.

Nice find and nice fix up job.

Only a true craftsman would have seen the potential in those. You did a great job on the rebuild.
