Ring box

This is a ring box made from the center cut out of another box I built. It is Birdseye maple with Cherry and Podunk bands. A friend of mine at work ask me to make it for his engagement. I hope it gets him a yes. I think next time I will use a strip of 1/2” Cherry instead of ¼” for the center of the bow. It makes the bow fuller and more pleasing to the eye.

Another winner. O.K., you answered my question posted on your other box, regarding how the oval shape was created – bandsaw box :-) Now all I have to do is figure out how you are making the bows.

beautiful and inspirering…I mean the box and the work…I wouldn’t want to do the engagement thing over again. I am sure he will get a yes. I used a bird house and that was simple and yes it did work. Nice job sir.

A gorgeous ring box! Beautiful wood and design especially the bows which make a great accent.

It’s a wonderful little box. Very nice work.
