Made to remember a friend who’s nickname meant star, and put here to show the precess not the frame.

Rout out the shape you wish to inlay. Keep the bottom as clean as possible, it’ll be visible.

Pour in epoxy resin. Here i’ve used West Systems.

Scrape/plane/sand the resin smooth. Sand with a random orbit to 180 grit. Wax will make any scratches invisible.

That is a nice effect! I imagine you could tint the epoxy to create an even broader range of effects.
