I made a simple shaker foot stool from plans taken from Rough Cut Woodworking. (A few slight changes were made to the design.) I started with rough cut Cypress and only used hand tools for the project. These were my first hand cut dovetails; they are not perfect but not too bad for my first attempt.

Great build, congrats on your first hand-cut dovetails! I’m itching to try them myself. Looks very sturdy.

Clean as a whistle. It looks very good and I’m sure that you must have learned a lot by building it. Congratulations.
