We are doing some remodeling at our house and the loml and I thought we should upgrade our newell posts while we were redoing the staircase. After looking at the commercial price I did what any self respecting ww’er would do and built them myself out of red oak. Pretty happy with how they turned out and with how much $$ we saved. After installation the bottom will be trimmed out to hide the screws that will be used to attach to mounting blocks and the stair case itself.

Thanks for the comments. And trust me, I’m working on trying to parlay the stuff I’m turning out for the house into a new table saw to replace my POS. I’ll post a pic once the stairs are finished.

I like the little feet at the bottom of the posts, but the wifemate says there will be giant dust-bunnies collecting there. Everybody has to be a critic huh?
I like the look and the craftsmanship … Kudos
