Carved this little bird out of a leftover dowel. I’m just getting into carving and next time I’m going to carve something larger. I placed a lighter next to the bird so you can see the scale.

I have recently taken up carving too. I did a small bear that ended up a key chain for the wife.

I talked to my local Carving club and they said when we are starting out, it would do us better if we did larger projects. 5-6” or so.

It looks awesome though, I just thought I would share what my local pro’s said in regards to smaller carvings~
