A couple of wooden swords for my boys. The entire thing is southern yellow pine off a 2×12 with cherry laminated to make the handles. The cross guards are also cherry. Finish is wipe on poly.

I don’t know about your boys, but when we were kids, somebody would get hurt with these. Of course back then it was part of the fun.
They look good, hope your boys play safe.

Very cool swords,I think they would have been dangerous with some the kids I played with.

Don’t let them take the swords to show and tell, I’d hate to see a fellow lumberjock on NBC nightly news.

Are you planning to stain them? Some clearcoat would really make the woodgrains stand out…Relly nice work.

great work! I really like the look of the handle with the cherry wrap. I’d round down the tips though for safety

Looks cool! I will not be building any of them. My kids would kill each other before the finish had a chance to dry!

Great looking and well made swords! Like the shapes and the forms. Kids will have lots of fun but just be careful.
