Built this for my son for Christmas 2012. No plans, just a quick sketch and built piece by piece. Body is cherry, wheels, seat, valve covers, air cleaner all solid Sepele, carb and grill are walnut, engine block and rims are maple, exhaust and rocker are oak.

I’ve never seen anything like that. That is very cool—a rocker with a V8 and an air scoop. I think you’re starting this fellow off right.

G’Day “mattfinisher”,
While that’s one very nice rocker, you may live to regret starting your son so early on the road to “hot rodding”.
Maybe, he’ll build them from timber like his dad, well done.

Matt that’s freaking awesome! Oak exhaust…epic! They grow like weeds, you’re going to have to make it steerable sooner or later, time he hits 5-6 yrs old friends will be pulling it behind a bike with someone steering, might have to move to rubber tires at some point.
