This 18”X16”X12” ballet box is made for a local elementary school using maple and butternut.
It features mitered corners with dovetale keys and a hidden pull out tray to hide the key.
It’s finished with shellac and wipe on oil/polly. mix.

Great job. Love the contrast in the wood, and the grain.

What are they voting on? Those really crisp mitred corners or the imaginative key placement and style? We don’t see all that many ballot boxes here but this is a landslide winner.

What a wonderful piece! Like the dovetails and the choice of contrasting woods. Well done!
