It is time to retire my old and wore out craftsman tool box they just don’t make them like the use to. I am making a robust unit from wood that will house all my specialty woodworking tools. The carcass is done and I am moving onto making the drawers. I am making it have a flat top so I can add another stack-able unit on the top when time permits. I am really excited about this project. The old craftsman box has slides going out and had very little usable storage in the drawers. The old box was obviously made for a mechanic that uses requires lots of shallow tool storage for sockets and screwdrivers. Woodworkers have such a vast array of sizes and shapes of tools. I am really looking forward to getting some foam and utilizing a couple drawers for my air nailers , staplers , pin nailers.
