Made these 6 boxes from mainly the scrap bin. The first three from all scrap bin wood unknown. The next has a lid of Oak that I liked and also fitted with a divider.
The two below have Beech lids and have carved ripples in the top These I have titled “Ripples In The Sand”
All the boxes are finished with a gloss varnish and I used sticky backed felt for the bottom of the boxes except one which I brought it up the inside as well

These look nice. How do you achieve the ripple effect? It’s very impressive.

Thanks guys. The ripple effect was borrowed off of this site forgive me I can’t remember who it was.
I did mine by carving and then sanding them.

G’Day Derek,
Very nice little boxes, the craftsmanship is so neat and the sand effect is stunning.
Well done.

Those are all very nice but I particularly like the sculpted sand ripples. Great job!
