I have seen several of these posted on here in the past couple of months so I thought I’d throw in my 2 cents worth. Taken directly from Norm Abrams plans mine are made of pine but if you finish them correctly they will last a long time . In my opinion they are the most comfortable outdoor chairs I’ve ever sat in…............Thanks for looking…...........Schloemoe

So it’s a set of 3-chairs then? Looking good so far! How do you plan to finish them?

They look Great!!

Ours are made of pine, too. They have been on the front porch for many years and are still in perfect condition.

I hadn’t planned on putting a finish on the ones I’m going to sell. For my own I will be Painting them white .Traditionally they were all painted but I guess you could stain them also …............Schloemoe

I have built several of these following Norm’s plans. Most recently I have been using the composite decking material. Works great and no finishing required.

Nice chairs! I can see why you would make three.

Look great! Did you find the plans on the internet? I am interested in building a set, but not sure if everyone free hands them or gets a pattern?
