My first attempt at a box….
Or, I should say, “my first attempt at a box where the four sides actually fit together and somewhat resembled a rectangle.”
It’s made of 3/4” mahogany, dimensions are roughly 9” x 6”. I made a jig for my router table in order to make the box joints. The top profile was made on the router table with a chamfer bit. The bottom is 1/4” plywood.
I finished it with several coats of shellac. Currently I use it to hold a block plane in the shop.
