This took me almost an entire semester during college. I was able to bookmatch the cherry panels in the solid oak pocket doors, and the trim is made from 3 individual routed pieces of solid cherry. It stands about 6.5 feet tall, and I finished it with multiple coats of a mix of boiled linseed oil and spar varnish. Unfortunately, it is just slightly too large to fit in the living room of the new house that I moved to, so now it sits in the basement.

Very nice Jason. I’ve never thought about using cherry with oak, but this looks great…a nice subtle contrast. Nice detail on the molding. Looks like you’ll just have to buy a bigger house.

Very nice looking case. I think you did a great job matching woods and colors. The doors are very nice too.
