This is a Murphy bed that was built in February 2013. It is a style I call the Hudson Bay. It a plain murphy bed with some added moldings. I take some picture frame type molding and miter it into 8 door like boxes. I then add some crown and base.

I used oak wood under the green lacquer, which gave it a real nice texture. I also distressed it slightly with worm holes and gouges.

Wood type: Oak

Finish: Custom Green Lacquer

Hardware: Create-a-bed Murphy bed mechanism

Building Pictures:
Fitting crown and base
Finishing out the center
