This stool is a practice piece. I wanted to see If I could pull off the required joinery for the rockers I plan to make next. I’m really proud of this piece. Everything turned out great. It’s comfortable to sit in and with my 15 month old climbing on everything this really gives him a boost up. It’s also great for me for bath time. Done completely with flesh powered tools. Made from 8/4 walnut finished with Boiled Linseed Oil.

As always comments, suggestions, and critiques are always welcome.

That’s one heckuva practice piece. I’m scared to see how good the serious ones will look.

Great piece. Can’t wait to see the rocker.

That’s very impressive! I really like the look of it, and I think it begs to be touched. Looks like it has great texture. Awesome that you only used hand tools.

Just one more step, round the corners of the joint and it will be perfect.
