Completed February 2013. These rocking chairs are modeled after Thomas Moser’s New Gloucester rocking chairs. The spindles and legs are ash, while the rest of the chair is cherry. All spindles and legs go through the full thickness of the seat blank and are wedged for additional strength. To see more about their construction, check out my blog.

Your rockers are beautiful. I went through your blog on the build process. A lot of thought and work went into building these rockers, but the result looks well worth the effort.

Thanks. We actually use the living room now! After working through all of the processes on the rocking chairs, the stools seemed like a breeze! I waited to post the rocking chairs to my project gallery until the stools were done.

Thanks. I like them even more now that we’ve got the foot stools done. The stool provides a very relaxed and reclined seating option.
