Needed to make more space in the shop…I mean garage ;)
Also got rid of some nasty old wood taking up space.

Very cool idea! Nice work reclaiming your shop, I mean garage, (Haha). For real a fantastic idea.

I have considered doing this same thing. The only thing holding me back is a fear of a cold brittle tub breaking and falling on someones head.

I like the idea but have a reservation, call it a question if you will. How did you get the totes up to this? I am guessing a ladder which made me pause because some people and ladders do not mix, add a large tote to the mix and I am seeing a neck injury. I firmly believe God is a comedian and just to mess with me he would let one or all of those things fall on me, just for the laugh. (laughing)

Good idea, but I would worry about them falling as in my experience those totes tend to bend and deform under weight unless you buy the expensive hard plastic ones. What about building some boxes out of 1/2 plywood?

It’s creative use of space and that’s always a good thing. Congratulations.
