I’ve been scrolling since 2008. This was was an experiment at a more complicated project. It was made from red oak and took me about 4 months to complete. It was donated to a raffle and ultimately generated $850.00 to help a coworker of mine who was losing his wife to terminal cancer…I’m new to this site but i;ll post more pics soon.

Marka, there are a number of scrollers here on LJ. Welcome! One that I’ve been following is Sheila Landry, aka “scrollgirl”. She maintains a site selling elegant and intricate scroll saw patterns along with her partner Kieth. I love doing this kind of work, too but haven’t done much recently.

Great stuff, great cause!

I don’t know if that scroll saw stuff will ever be for me but that’s fine because I can marvel at creations like yours!

Aloha Marka and welcome to the forum. From one Scroller to another…a job very well done. I’ve been scrolling about 30 years. I use Hegners, which saws do you use?
