First original design project that didn’t use 2×4s. Its a nightstand made from 3/4 maple ply with the edges left exposed. The plywood edges are sanded up to 220, and come out really smooth and shiny after shellac and wipe on poly. All the drawers are 1/2ply on full-extension ball-bearing slides. The drawer fronts are also ply but stained different colors. The carcass is finished with shellac, and wipe on poly. 32”h 27”w 16”d. This was my first time using a router, biscuit joiner, hand plane, orbit sander…... So, it took about 4 months, and about 5 hours a week.
Any comments are welcome.

Great looking night stand, also great that you got to try a few new tools.

Nice job and cool funky desing elements…. Which is a good thing. Colors and craftsmanship are great.

I like the idea. One thing I think you did right was by also using different drawer pulls on each drawer. Keeps it consistent.

Nice! The nightstand is oddly appealing. :-) Welcome to woodworking and welcome to lumberjocks.

I love everything about this piece! Everything. This is your first project? For reals? Well, don’t stop there. Keep it up. You have a great eye for this stuff. :)

Welcome to Lumberjocks. Nice work, very creative and as Monte put it consistent with your design throughout. Have to keep this style in mind for future projects.

As someone that likes the look of exposed plywood edges, I really like this piece.
