I had made this makeup vanity for my daughter about a year ago. I had looked at ALOT of pics of makeup vanities, and took a few ideals from some I had seen. But none had everything that I was looking for, so this is what I came up with. The jewelry box and the clock tower are fixed to the vanity, so its all one piece. The jewelry box is made from curly birds eye maple, with the top storage area flocked on the inside. and the top lid has purple heart inlay. The drawers are flocked on the inside, and each has a different insert for jewelry. The clock tower is also birds eye curly maple, with a clock, and a power recepticle and a switch for the lights in the mirrow. The mirrow swivels, and has LED lights on each side, and 2 hand painted stones inlayed on each side near the bottom. The table top is made from curly maple, has a bit of varity of inlay, and white oak trim around the edges. The center drawer also has flocking on the inside. It also has a musical movement that plays amazing grace when the top of the jewelry box lid is raised, and also a cubard door on the left side made from oak, curly maple and purple heart butter fly inlay, that when its open, holds necklaces. The necklace door and musical movement were not yet installed when these pics were taken. The rest of the carcus is white oak. All the oak was cut off the farm, and milled in the shop, so just a little gas and oil for the chainsaw was the cost on it.
