This is a custom loft bed I built for my daughter for Christmas. Made out of poplar and painted white.

Cool idea, looks great. Heck if I had the ceiling height I would do this for my own room just to be different. But the ceiling is at 8’ and I am 5’8” that would leave 28” of “potential” space to have a bedframe and what was left for me and the wife. How would I explain to potential buyers how the marks got in the ceiling? (Laughing)

Yes the drawers are now done and in place. I’ll take and post more pics when I can.

I showed the picture to my daughter and her response was “WOW, awesome!!!” This also means “I want one too”. Very nice work!

Very nice project. One of our daughters and her husband, emailed some pictures showing Christmas morning, on I saw where the Granddaughters had a bed set up a bit like what you built, but not nearly as nice…..They don’t live close to us so Grandpa couldn’t build it this time.

My 13yo daughter thinks her dad is talented enough to steal your design. What’s the worst thing that can happen, I have a fire place for the mistakes!!!
