Another Clock

Yes that’s right, another clock. After I built the first one I remembered my nephews’ wedding was coming up so I decided to make another one as a gift. I altered the design a little since I wasn’t sure of their household decor. From the original I simply removed the bottom section with the drawer and then added some detail to the glass frame.
This one was made from African Mahogany. I added a bit of Golden Mahogany stain to add a bit of color depth to it. I wanted to darken the wood a bit, but not too much. I then sprayed 5 coats of semi-gloss lacquer with a 0000 steel wool buff between coats.

I like it. That face opening is unique (to me anyway).

The original designed face frame was just square. But I decided to add the arc to for a bit of “visual interest”, as they say.

Sweet face frame design feature : ) Very well done.
