This was a very unusual project. A friend wanted a pair of saloon doors for her husband, but had a old door, 100 plus yr old, that she wanted incorporated into them. So I ripped down the door and used the pieces to make the frame of these saloon doors. I made the inlay bull skull out of curley maple, but the skull stands a bit proud of the panels, but the edges are smooth with the panels. These turned out alright.

Very very nice. I love the bull skulls that you incorporated into the doors. Way way nicer then the saloon doors I had in my previous home. I love the look of the different woods you used, nice contrasting. Nice work.

Very cool saloon doors. I love using wood with a history.

Thank yall for the kind words. The contrast of the woods turned out pretty good.
