The problem with creating a one of a kind bed is finding furniture to match it. Solution, create your own. The bed is posted as a separate project. I had some left over curly maple from the head and foot board panels; so naturally, I used it to create the night stands. A fraction taller than I was shooting for, but that can always be fixed later.

I used walnut for the night stands to match the bed. I also cut a long curve in the front legs of the stand for the same design feature on the bed posts. I was a little short on time so I made an open bay vice a drawer for the top section, and a bottom shelf for sundry items. The night stands rise an inch or so above the mattress. I can probably take an inch or so off the bottom of the legs to make the girly happy. Happy wife, happy life!

Everything is finished with special oil I got over in Germany. Naturehaus Hartol High Solid. The O in Hartol has the umlaut over it, otherwise it would be Hartoil. Great stuff and one coat was ample. We’ll see if I have the aptitude for a dresser next! Enjoy.

They look great and totally matches the gorgeous bed. Like the beautiful design especially the curved and tapered legs and the wood combo and the finish are amazing.
