Here are a few smaller items I made while working on larger items that were taking quite a bit of time so that I felt like I was getting something done. A small table or wall mount candle box made of poplar and stained with Red Mahogany, a small salt box made of pine scraps and painted with Milk Paint and then distressed and given an antique look, then a small wall cabinet paint with Federal Blue Milk Paint mixed with about 50% Snow White Milk Paint. I wanted to antique it as well but my wife wanted it left new looking, so I did for her. The cabinet is made of #2 pine with cherry hinges and birch dowels and cherry latch parts. We’re going to put candles, matches, and flashlight inside for emergencies when there may be a power outage. All items are 1700’s replicas.

Those are great….I forgot about making items like that years ago…I think we have a couple cabinets I built like that 20 + years ago. Good to see it’s still in style.

Nice colonial reproductions, very authentic.
