Another rimed bowl of pecan. This was from a crotch. This one was easier to turn as I didn’t have to move the center. I learned to turn the tenon before turning around and not use the faceplate as I hit the screws when turning out the bottom. I had to jam chuck it and turn the tenon after I roughed out the inside. I didn’t quite get it square so had to essentially return it to square back up. That part wasn’t fun.
It is still a little wet so I will finish later. I still have some sanding to do also but going to wait till dry. I really need to get one of the small power sanders as the fingers get it when sanding air. ROS doesn’t get in curves good.
Made from a pecan crotch. It is 18”x15”x3” and bowl is 11” x 2” deep.
