Model “T” Ford Tanker – Norm Marshall Style

Model “T” Ford Tanker – Norm Marshall Style
The Base is Cypress Pine as is the Tank [laminated together].
I cut a number of circles with the holesaw then glued & bolted the pieces together using a short length of booker rod.
After the glue dried, I secured it in the drill press and started sanding.
When it was looking okay, the bolt camp out & a plug glued in place.
Both Mudguards are the recycled ‘telegraph poles”, very old Aussie hardwood, as are both the axle supports..
The Cabin is made from a Merbau laminated post .
The Wheels are also Merbau, using a profiles wheel cutter.
The Engine is Spotted Gum [aussie hardwood].
The “Tanker is not quite true to the plans in the book but its come up okay.

Thanks for looking. Cheers from On Top DownUnder, crowie
