Had a few hours to turn yesterday, so my buddy, Louis, from NJ Woodturners and I made a walking stick from the laminated plywood. Fun way to spend some time in the shop. Since St Patricks, in hind sight, should have made a green one. 32 inches long, Mylands turners finish on EEE Polish base coat.

Urban Dictionary: shalaylee
Shalaylee. Actually, it’s spelled “shillelagh”. It’s Irish for a walking cane (that can be conveniently used as a club or cudgel). Usually ornamentally carved.
