This is my first post here. I built two night stands for a customer. The nightstands are built out of Alder, with poplar drawer boxes. All the drawer boxes have under mount soft close guides. The night stands were distressed to give them that rustic look. I Finished them by staining with a water based die, and then spraying them with Velspar water based lacquer. I then rubbed them out with some dark brown paste wax. There were a lot of firsts on this project for me. It was the first time i was asked to distress a piece, and after having them so perfect it almost killed me to do it. It was also the first time that i sprayed or used any type of water based lacquer. There aren’t any handles on them yet because the customer hasn’t picked any out yet. All in all i think they turned out great, but more importantly the customer loves them.

Beautiful nightstand! Nice design, like the legs and pull out table and the finish sets it off. Great job!
Have your say...
