Finished this one today, it is No.4 of these type of bowls. I think the broom handle is Tasmanian Oak, but not sure.

The blank has been sitting on the floor for several years, but obviously was not properly dry because there was some cracking and warping while it was on the lathe for a couple of days, fortunately the walls were still thick enough to round off again.
It measures 6×4.5inches and is polished with Shellawax Glow.

Hope you like it and thanks for looking.

C & C welcome.

Bob.

Very nice piece. I like the insertion of the dowels before turning. Looks almost like a basket full of Easter eggs.

Hey Bob. Another nice one, You guy’s sure have some nice looking broom handles there in Australia, By the way, where do you get all of those broom handles,!!! After talking to you in the past, I have a feeling that the neighbor ladies there, are mysteriously finding their brooms missing from the back porch!!

Rockbuster, don’t let the cat out of the bag. While they don’t realise what is happening I can continue to get away with it??
