One of my LJ buddies (Naked Joinery) sent me a nice piece of crotch walnut to play with. I resawed it and there was a bullet in one half of the bookmatch! I had to use the bullet half so another box resulted (of course). Dimensions: 12 1/2×8 1/2×5”. Frame is sycamore. Tray is walnut sapwood with walnut splines in box and tray. Finish is rubbed shellac. Patron/Grizz wooden hinges of sycamore. I really love that piece of crotch on the end panel. Wood from my friends puts a lot of pressure on me to perform so I’ve got a lot of hours in this one. But enjoyed every minute!

Nice choice of woods there Andy…...and the bullet! The sycamore really has some cool grain…..

You’ve got this process down to a science and it shows….nicely…... keep them coming.

Now that was worth the wait. Beautiful box and you know I’m a big fan of this design as I’m 80% done with my own copy. That bullet is slick, I’ve still got 30 BF, theres got to be a couple more pellets in here. I’m glad you put it to much better use than I could, and thanks for answering all the questions, it’s well worth your knowledge for a few BF

Another fine example of your craftsmanship and keen eye. Love it all & the bullet just adds to it!!!
