Coat hanger from unknown recicled wood

The kids found a piece of wood in the backyard, among other stuff that seemed to be used during a construction.

Chiseled the slots for the hangers (some unused courtain holders), and cleaned it up a little.

The wood was quite rotten, and grey in color. After some sanding it revealed interesting color spots (even some red spots here and there, not sure if paint or what)

A thin layer of laquer, some screws, and there it is: a nice coat hanger worth $0 from thing I’ve already had. (The wall even had the holes from the previous tenants)

I think it turned out great! Very rustic, but not fake.

Like the antique look of it. Simple but very functional project. Great job and salvage of the wood.
