koa bowl 6” tall 9” wide not sure what I will use it for but love the color and figure.

Oh that is lovely. Was that carved or done on a lathe? Very love chunk of Koa. I love working with Koa as well. Just love the way how in one slap it can go from very dark to nearly cream in color. We lived up in your neck of the woods for many years…love the summers….you know the rest of the song.. When I first saw the picture, I thought you had carved a Koa watermellon.

You can use turnred bowls for something?

That is a high quality piece! At the price of curly Koa today, a heck of an investment. Beautiful bowl, finely crafted. It should be passed down thru the family.
