Actually a small drawer, this is my first jewelry box design. Alaskan yellow cedar, wenge and cherry for the internal frame.

Finish is French polish. Joinery is Festool Dominoes, but the mortices were cut on a CNC milling machine rather than the Festool tool.

Let me be the first to say that I love the Star Trek communicator handle! Very nice design overall, and well executed!

Great looking box, very nice design and build. I think the black background in the photo makes it very difficult to see properly. May it’s it just me.

Thanks for the kind words.

stefang – I agree about the photos. I was trying to figure out how to photograph the shiny finish. I’ve always struggled with that for some reason.
