When I first found this site, I was so impressed with both the project ideas and their execution. One of the very first projects I saw was poroskywood’s serving trays. I’ve been wanting to make it for a while and I finally had a little time to create one for my wife. She has her tea nearly every night, so I figured this would be a good chance to score some points.

It’s mahagony and afromosia… which are very close in color and free from a local cabinet shop. Finished with a satin poly/BLO blend.

Beautiful wood and woodworking. I’m envious how you got the miters so precise.

Thanks for the great comments. We’re about to take a few weeks off for some vacation and though I’m excited for it, I hate being away from the shop!

Hi Wiser,
It’s about 8×13”.. A good size for an end table or coffe table I think.

Looks great and the miters are perfect. Like the choice of woods, finish and the handles as well.
