Bois D'Arc Cross

A piece of Bois D’Arc (bo dark), also known as Horse Apple Tree, carved into a cross. Cross is approximately 16” tall. Finished with tung oil and buffed to gloss with a brown paper bag.

Well done. LFD those are widely seen through out a lot of the east and midwest. We call them bowdock you can see from where. It is a great tree in the mulberry family and a lot of my bowyer friends make bows from them as did Native People. I have a bunch in my yard and some in the drying shed. Rough on tools it is very hard wood.
