This is my first attempt at building a box type turkey call.
I was inspired by the calls that Tommy (ghost5) had been posting. http://lumberjocks.com/projects/80172
The body is cherry and the top and bottom are walnut.
It sounds pretty good although the sides could be thinner, I think I would get more volume out of it.
I may cut some grooves or thin the sides up.
Finish is 2 coats of wipe on poly.

-- I love the smell of Home Depot in the morning, it smells like.......carpentry. Bake, Bar Lazy U Woodworks, Lehi,UT.

Good looking short box. If you thin the sides you don’t get more volume you get a lower tone. Volume comes more from pressure on your paddle and a lot of chalk helps. Thanks for the plug, too. ;-)

Looks good. My guess is that since Tommy posted his there’s been a lot of these attempted.
