rod piezo resonator guitar bridges

Started making these for those builders of homemade reso guitars. Those of us in that hobby know of mike lowe and his reso lowe cones that he makes these rod biscuits are made for that type of resonator cone. I make them out of a varitiy of exotic woods and all have bone saddles. Usually builders use the piezo disc in this type of bridge but i am using the rod piezo which gives a much better sound. I started with a batch of 8 and have 2 left, looks like i`ll have to make more.

I am not a guitar person, but they look like you put a lot of work in these bridges. Does the type of wood change the sound?

End grain osage orange…i cut down an old fence row behind my place a few years ago and saved some of the osage for fence posts. Thats what that tree gets used for around here…Pa. farmlands. Decided to try some out this year…wow what a surprize, beautiful grain !
